Warframe’s Duviri Paradox Expansion Arrives In April With New Rogue-like Content
Digital Extremes has taken the wraps off and announced a release window for Warframe’s Duviri Paradox expansion. The expansion is set to arrive sometime in April and will feature a new open-world location that will be open for all players to explore regardless of their gear and level.
The dev team describes the new Duviri Paradox zone as a fractured reality that changes color depending on the mood of the Mad Child King Dominus Thrax who’ll serve as the main antagonist of the zone’s narrative, which will revolve around the Drifter and his quest to stop the child king.
“The Duviri Paradox is an ever-evolving content update that combines a cinematic narrative with Warframe systems both new and familiar,” says Digital Extremes. “All Tenno can experience Duviri from the very beginning of their journey, with more gameplay options opening up as you explore more of the Origin System.”
The team offered more information on the expansion, the new zone, and the new mechanics that arrive with it during this weekend’s developer stream. They also gave viewers a brief glimpse of new points-of-interest, including the new Teshin’s Cave player hub and the Undercroft, as well as the new Kaithe mount mechanics, and the new Decrees system that will grant players rotating random buffs.
The developers also showed off the new Hildryn Prime Frame that will be making its debut on March 15th, confirmed the return of TennoCon on August 26th as an in-person event, outlined updates to the Incaron system, and dropped the cinematic teaser for Duviri Paradox. You’ll find a full rundown of the topics covered during the dev stream on the Warframe official site and the new cinematic trailer below.
