Warframe Teases Citrine’s Debut And The Return Of Its Valentine’s Day Event
Warframe is celebrating the love month with the release of its Citrine’s Last Wish update which will feature a new warframe as well as the return of its annual Valentine’s Day event. Citrine, of course, is the main star of the update and will be the 52nd warframe to the sci-fi MMO’s ever-growing roster of space ninjas.
“Citrine will feature a healthy arsenal of signature Weapons, Accessories, and Abilities, when she launches including Corufell, a new Scythe that can deliver a charged blast to enemies at range, Citrine’s Kalite Helmet and Sugatra, as well as a new devastating Steflos, a short-ranged Primary weapon that becomes more powerful with each enemy hit.”
To unlock Citrine, you’ll need to complete Mirror Defense Missions which will reward you with the materials needed to unlock the new ‘Frame. “Travel to Mars and take on Mirror Defense Missions to reunite star crossed lovers of the Old War,” announced Digital Extremes. “Entrapped in crystals, players must bring together these fated lovers to earn Citrine’s blueprints and components for crafting or instantly unlock her devastating embrace from the in-game Market.”
Alongside the new ‘Frame, the update will also arrive with a new set of cosmetics including the game’s first ever Facial Visage Ink tattoo, new Drifter customizations, the Rhino Deathwatch deluxe skin, and a new Void Shell skin for Ember, in addition to new Arcanes and Augments.
The Star Days Valentine’s Day event will also be kicking off a the top of the month with new items and rewards up for grabs, such as new glyphs and the Left Hand and Right Hand variants of the heart hands Eros emote.
Warframe will also be celebrating its 10th anniversary in March. More information about the anniversary festivities will be announced ahead of the event, or events, whatever the case may be.
