Warframe Gets A Spooky New Frame And A New Extermination Node For Halloween
Warframe’s Halloween update, Abyss of Dagath, is now live with a spooky-looking new space ninja to add to your collection. The update introduces a new warframe inspired by the infamous headless horseman, named Dagath.
Like the horror stories, Dagath is a faceless horserider that rises every Night of Naberus to stalk the Origin System on a quest for revenge. She wields a whip scythe weapon called the Dorrclave that has the ability to enter a spectral state, doubling follow through damage and inflicting status effects for the next 10 attacks. Each active status effect will also heal her slightly.
She is also surrounded by enemy-seeking spectral scythes that inflict Doom and a ive ability that has a chance to grant her a 300% effectiveness bonus to health orbs and energy.
“Dagath’s malice deals exceptionally high damage to those unlucky enough to stand in her way,” said Digital Extremes. “Inflict pain while boosting your own Abilities thanks to Doom, or wield Rakhali's Cavalry and let loose the unrelenting fury of five powerful, spectral Kaithes.”
Abyss of Dagath also opens up the new Abyssal Zone where players will be tasked with helping stranded Syndicate recover allegedly cursed items called Defixios and get them safely out of the ship by exterminating all the enemies onboard. Abyssal Zone missions will reward players with a new resource called Vainthorn that they can use to craft Dagath and the Dorrclave. A Steel Path variant is also available for those who want to up the challenge.
In line with Dagath’s debut, Digital Extremes has also introduced a new dojo room, aptly called Dagath’s Hollow, where you can learn more about the new warframe’s backstory, work on her blueprints, and customize her mount.
Companions have also been updated so that they will no longer die but will only become incapacitated. Additionally, companion stats have also been reworked to make them more durable and useful when taking on higher-level content.
