Tower of Fantasy Undergoes Massive Server Merge Across All Available Regions
Tower of Fantasy has literally brought its players closer together with a massive round of server merges across all regions. The anime MMORPG’s 47 servers have now been consolidated into just nine: two in North America, two in Europe, two in Asia-Pacific, two in Southeast Asia, and one in South America.
The process, however, took longer than expected and Level Infinite has sent out a bundle of Dark Crystals as compensation for the delay. You should now be able to claim the compensation package via the in-game mailbox.
Server merges are essential part of a live service game’s upkeep to ensure that a healthy population is maintained and that players aren’t stuck in virtual ghost towns. It also offers a clue as to how much the anime MMORPG’s population has shrunk since it launched. With 47 servers now down to nine, it looks like Tower of Fantasy isn’t doing too well.
