Throne And Liberty KR Announces Server Merges As The Launch Rush Dies Down

NCSoft is already merging down Throne and Liberty servers in Korea barely a month after the game’s release in the region. It’s apparently seen a significant decline in its population over the past few weeks, leading to extremely long group-finding for world bosses, dungeons, and in-game events.

In response, NCSoft is planning to merge the 18 existing servers down to just 7 servers on January 17 to help bolster the population and speed up group-finding. The developers note that character names, items, costumes, emotes, mail, and all progress will carry over to the new servers. Ranking scores and Origin and Dimension Stone owners, however, will be reset following the merge.

Meanwhile, this week’s update introduced a new sandworm queen boss, opened the new Lizard Island zone, and kicked off a new zone event in Greyclaw Forest. Several zones, instanced dungeons, skills, party mechanics, and the weapon transmog system have also received various adjustments, changes, and improvements.

The full patch notes can be found on the Throne and Liberty KR official site.
