Shai And A New Large-Scale PvP Mode Arrives In Black Desert Mobile This Month
Black Desert Mobile later this month. Shai mainly functions as a class with access to various healing and buff spells but can also deal a decent amount of damage with her massive boomerang. Shai arrives on March 23 with pre-creation starting on March 16.
“A mischievous being from the forests near Florin, Shai throws a powerful Florang— a boomerang-like weapon that hits enemies before finding its way back to her. Shai also wields the mystical Vitclari, a small glowing trinket that heals and protects her allies.”
Shai was originally planned to arrive before the Archer and Fletcher classes but Pearl Abyss decided to delay her release to give them more time to optimize the class. “Shai has recently undergone a balance patch in other builds of the game, which fundamentally changed her playstyle,” explained the devs. “Rather than presenting Adventurers with the previous version of Shai, we wanted to release the improved Shai in the global build from the outset at the end of March.”
The developers also felt that the addition of specialized long-range classes will be a better choice in order to maintain the balance of different class types in the Battlefield of the Sun, a new PvP mode that will be launching in the mobile game later today.
The Battlefield of the Sun is a new large-scale 30vs30 battle mode based on the war between the Republic of Calpheon and the desert nation of Valencia. The full patch notes for today’s update is now up on the Black Desert Online official site.
