Rust Lets You Bring Your Very Own Frankenstein’s Monster To Life
Unleash your inner mad scientist in Rust this Halloween season as you work to piece together your very own Frankenstein’s monster in the survival sandbox MMO’s new Frankenstein Monster mode. Here’s how:
Collect the required body parts (i.e. legs, torso, and head) by killing mummies and scarecrows wandering around the map during the event, bring your gruesome collection back to your base, craft a Frankenstein table, assemble the body pieces on the table to bring your creation to life, and the last and most important step: laugh maniacally while shouting “It’s aliiiive!” Your creation will follow you around the map attacking anyone you attack or anyone who attacks you.
Aside from bringing dismembered corpses back to life, players can also a map-wide candy hunt which will be held every two in-game days. Various rewards await the top three players with the most candy collected during the hunt, including house upgrades and the highly-coveted M249 machine gun.
On top of all that, the Facepunch will also be holding an in-game pumpkin carving contest. Design and carve a Jack-o’-Lantern using the new Pumpkin item, take a screenshot of your creation, and post it on Twitter using the hashtag #RustHalloween. The devs will select two winners and will award prizes accordingly in the form of cosmetic skins and DLC keys.
Stay tuned for the exact dates and time of the event. You can also head over to the Rust official site for more info.
