Riot Games Confirms That A League Of Legends MMO Is In The Works

League of Legends MMO. The confirmation comes by way of a tweet from Riot’s Head of Creative Development, Greg Street.

In the tweet, Street said that he’s leading a big project to expand the LoL universe. When asked about the project, he confirmed that it’s an MMO. He also said that they were hiring for the new team which presumably means that the game is still in the early stages of development.

Street’s tweet is currently all we have to go on but it’s definitely news that will take the gaming community by storm.

My recent job at Riot has been to help develop the League universe, which we’re going to need!

Because it is time. My new job is to kick off a big (some might say massive) game that many of you, and many Rioters, have been asking us to create.
