Riders of Icarus' Sandstorm Update Is Live

The desert is beating back against civilization in Riders of Icarus' Sandstorm update, live on the servers, and it's a hefty one. The major addition is the field boss "Sandstorm," a stony goliath who hurls tempests at players. He roams the dunes of the Cloying Wastes, and only players level 50 or higher should dare to tackle him, and you'll want to be in a party of 40 players.

A new PvP zone is now available: Stygaea, land of the dead. It's a server versus server arena available to players level 40 and up, with more than 60 quests to tackle. Servers that triumph in Manastone Battles, every Saturday at 21:00 UTC, will win the "Glory of the Triumph" buff, active for six days and granting everyone on the winner's server bonuses such as interlaced attack speed, increases chance of rare drops, more health/defense, and more.

For you solo players, you can traverse the Ellora's Spire dungeon, a solo challenge for players 50 and up. Conquer all 30 floors, each one with its own boss, for drops and rewards, and climb to the top of the weekly and monthly ladders.

And there's now a cross-server dungeon lobby, which ought to speed up partying, among other QoL features.
