Pearl Abyss Drops Ascension Skills On Black Desert Mobile & Reveals Console Name Change Guidelines

Black Desert Mobile gets Ascension skills for all classes, Alchemy Stones, higher Black Stone and Silver drop rates, and the ability to level up weapons and gear. “Ascension allows Adventurers to enhance their characters using the same Main Weapons and Sub-Weapons as their base class,” explains Pearl Abyss. “Those who are level 60 and above can ascend to a new class by embarking on a story quest, in which five new Ascension skills will be unlocked after completion. An additional skill can also be unlocked after reaching level 70.”

Meanwhile, the developers are still working on the cross-play update for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game. In preparation for the update’s release, the devs have published guidelines on how they’ll be handling name changes. “We have taken into when coming up with a revised system of name changes, and we adapted that into a way where the name changes will affect the least amount of players possible,” says the devs.

“In case of two identical names existing in both XBox One and PlayStation 4 version of the game, only one of them will be changed based on the criteria below:

  • If one of the s is inactive, only the inactive ’s name will be changed, and the active will keep their name (inactive is defined as a who has not accessed the game 30 days prior to March 4th.)
  • If both s are active, the who created their name first in relation to the release date of the game on their platform will keep their name.

The release date used for this process will include the early access period. So for the purposes of this process, the Xbox release date is March 1st 2019 and the PlayStation 4 release date is August 20th, 2019.”

Players who will have their name changed will have a the _BDC suffix added to the end and will be compensated with a free name change coupon.
