Pantheon: Rise Of The Fallen Backer Shares First Impressions Of The Pre-Alpha Build
As Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen fans probably already know, the ongoing pre-alpha tests are covered by an NDA but they’ve apparently made exceptions for of their streamer and content creator program, including YouTuber and Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen backer Redbeardflynn.
In one of his latest streams, Redbeardflynn showed off actual gameplay footage from the pre-alpha test and offered his first impressions of the game. He remarked on various gameplay features and mechanics, noting the game’s hard-set class roles and the benefits of grouping with other players, citing his time spent playing as a Dire Lord (tank) and a Monk (DPS).
“If you’re looking for an MMORPG that puts class inter-dependency first, Pantheon feels like it’s not just paying lip service to it,” he noted. He also said that while playing solo is possible, it’ll make the experience a whole lot easier if you party up with a proper group.
He also shared his dungeon experience with a group, saying that communication and group tactics were critical to successfully completing the instance. He described the enemy behavior as “no f*cking joke” and praises the game’s difficulty even in the early stages of the game as compared to other MMORPG’s where you’ll be stuck in tutorials until around the mid-game.
He also touched on other important gameplay features such as exploration, harvesting, and crafting, again with particular focus on group play. If you’re a fan of the game and have time to kill, you’ll find the full 25-minute video below.
