Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen Is Getting Ready To Start Persistent Pre-Alpha Testing

Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is gearing up to offer a significant change to its pre-alpha testing schedule. According to the latest producer’s letter, Visionary Realms plans to move towards continuous testing starting in September, instead of the current 24-hour testing rounds that occur once a month.

The first 24/7 pre-alpha build will initially be made available to pre-alpha backers for testing. Once the first-release issues are fixed, it will then be opened to all pre-alpha testers and will remain open indefinitely barring any major issues.

In line with their plans for persistent testing, the studio also plans to add replayable content in the form of a new play mode. This mode aims to provide engaging progression to keep players invested while more content is being built and added to the game. Although specific details about this mode are yet to be revealed, the letter reveals that it will involve limiting access to existing content to ensure testers have meaningful activities to explore and enjoy.

The producer's letter also highlights some recent additions made to Pantheon in July, such as the introduction of the vital butternut tree, impressive new grass, and meticulously crafted creatures like bats and rats, among other new things.

In the meantime, testers can look forward to the next regularly scheduled 24-hour pre-alpha test on August 12th.
