Singularity 6 Prepares for Palia’s Great Stress Test, Plans Over 200,000 Testers
Singularity 6 has been actively conducting tech tests for their MMO, Palia, with the first two tests already concluded. Now, they are gearing up for their most significant test yet—the Great Palian Stress Test, scheduled for July 6th.
While Singularity 6 previously hinted at the possibility of multiple tests, they didn’t provide specific details regarding the number of tests planned. However, with the final PC server stress test approaching, players can expect a massive influx of testers. All previous testers will be invited with plans to bump up the testing pool by inviting new and returning testers. The total number of testers is estimated to exceed 200,000.
Interested players can still sign up to apply for a test invite. The Palia team will be sending out invites in waves over the next two weeks, starting from today and continuing until June 30th.
The stress test itself will take place on July 6th in Palia and will run from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. PST. As stated in the announcement, players should be prepared for potential chaos during the test. While Palia prides itself on being a chill, cozy, and friendly MMO, stress tests are designed to put server capacities to the test, often resulting in fun but extremely chaotic scenarios.
“We’re inviting over TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND new players to us for this totally chill and definitely not at all chaotic* playtest!” announced the studio. “Levels of chaos may vary. Like, a lot.”
With over 200,000 testers participating, it is worth noting that that still won’t enough to make a dent in the community simulation MMO’s 600,000 applicant pool. The stress test will be a critical phase for Singularity 6 to ensure the game's stability and performance in preparation for its eventual launch.
