Palia Kicks Off Closed Beta Testing Today, Teases Features And Content

Cozy MMO Palia is set to kick off its long-awaited closed beta test today and Game Director Aidan Karabaich is getting things rolling with a letter to the community.

“Palia started as a mission to bring people together through games in new ways. To create a place where you can be just who you want to be, and find a community that celebrates that,” he wrote. “While entering Beta is a major milestone in pursuit of those aspirations, it’s still early on in our quest. As a player, you can take it as a commitment to you that the best version of Palia is always in front of us. That we will work hard every week, every year, to reach for those stars.”

Karabaich also reminded testers that it’s a beta test and that performance issues, instability, and bugs are to be expected. He also promised a long list of new features and content to be added by the end of the year. These include new quests and storylines, new NPC villagers, a themed event, new crops and recipes, new furniture, additional customization options, controller , and quality-of-life improvements, as well as a Nintendo Switch release.

You’ll find the full letter on the Palia official site.
