Overwatch Hits 25 Million Players, Up from 20 Million Back in October
Overwatch officially hit 25 million players across all platforms (PC, PS4, and Xbox One), up from 20 million just 3 months ago (October, 2016). Some of the increase is sales can likely be attributed to Christmas sales of the game which discounted the base version from $39.99 to $29.99 and the Origins Edition from $59.99 to $39.99.
The world needs heroes, and over 25 MILLION have answered the call!

Blizzard continues to Overwatch with new content and events which helps keep the game fresh. Although the game follows the buy once play forever model, it does utilize microtransactions for various in-game cosmetics, taunts, etc. As a big fan of Overwatch (Soldier76 main, ~3200 SR), I suspect the game will maintain momentum and continue to increase its playerbase.
