Overwatch Celebrates The Year Of The Rooster

Overwatch is celebrating the Lunar New Year with the Year of the Rooster update, introducing over 100 cosmetic items, plenty of fireworks, and a festively themed game mode.

New Loot Boxes hold thematic victory poses, emotes, highlight intros, icons, and, of course, skins. No hero is left behind. And once you unlock an item you keep it forever, but you have a limited time to collect.

Participate in a new brawl called Capture the Rooster: a classic capture the flag game mode. I would like to see CTF outlast the event, as an alternative to traditional gameplay—spice things up a bit. We'll see how successful Capture the Rooster is.

The Year of the Rooster runs from today until February 13th.
