Overwatch 2 Unveils New ‘Samoa’ Tropical Island Control Map Coming In Season 7

Overwatch 2 during the Overwatch League Grand Final this weekend. The new map, dubbed Samoa, is described as a tropical paradise with three distinct control points: a beachside village, a downtown urban location, and the inside of a volcano.

During the map preview, Blizzard offered insight into the map’s design, aesthetics, and strategy, as well as a rundown of the key differences of each area. The studio also held a demo match between Overwatch influencers and content creators to better show off the new map.

Samoa will be added to Overwatch 2’s map rotation when Season 7 kicks off on October 10th. In the meantime, you can watch the official coverage of the Overwatch League Grand Final 2023 for a glimpse of the map.
