Nexon Is Reportedly Working On A Game Of Thrones MMO Based On The Books
Winter is coming to the world of MMOs as Nexon begins work on a massively multiplayer adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire novels, popularized by HBO as Game of Thrones.
The South Korean publisher has yet to confirm the game’s existence, but sources reveal that it’ll be set somewhere in the middle of the novels’ timeline and will take place in the norther part of Westeros, including the regions of Winterfell and The Wall.
If Nexon is indeed working on its own Game of Thrones adaptation, it will be the second time that a video game developer has tried to bring the books and HBO series to life as an MMO. The first attempt was Game of Thrones: Seven Kingdoms by MMORTS Game of Thrones: Winter is Coming after Bigpoint was acquired by Yoozoo Games in 2016.
