MapleStory’s New Age Update Brings Game-Changing Update And 6th Job Advancement Skills
MapleStory ushers in a new era as the game-changing New Age update goes live, its biggest update in years. The New Age update introduces major changes to the 19-year-old MMORPG’s gameplay and progression, along with the 6th Job advancement and a new reboot server to experience them in.
Players can now enjoy faster progression, particularly from level 200 to the current max level of 260, thanks to EXP adjustments and improvements to the Arcane River and Grandis daily quests. The latter has also been updated with lower Sacred Power and boss entry level requirements. The highlight of the update, however, are the newly unlocked 6th Job skills.
“Maple World and Grandis merged into one with the Convergence incident after the disappearance of the Black Mage. An immense energy broke out and a new power called “Sol Erda” appeared as the Erda making up the two worlds mixed. Finding out how to control this new power is the start of the 6th Job advancement story.”
The new job skill tier can be accessed and managed through the HEXA Matrix and are divided into HEXA Skills and HEXA Stats. The Mastery Node located in the HEXA Skills menu also allows players to enhance their core skills one more time. This applies to core skills up to the 4th Job. 5th Job skills can also be upgraded further using the Boost Node. HEXA Stats, on the other hand, will allow players to earn and level-up core stats like critical damage or boss damage.
The New Age update also kicks off the new Identisk Island limited-time winter event that’s set in a new landmass that was formed from the collision of the Iden and Tisk islands. Hyper Burning and Burning World events have also returned to offer an even faster track to level 260 and in-game rewards.
The second part of the update, New Age: Into the Abyss, drops on December 13th, promising new adventures in Minar and Carcion, a war on the Arteria Battleship, and more. For now, you can brush up on everything that’s new in by checking out the full patch notes on the MapleStory official site.
