Mad World Devs Apologize For Rough Launch And Explain Steam Launch Delay

various bugs and issues as well as missing items plaguing the grimdark MMORPG since its much-awaited release. Developer Jandisoft, however, has been working hard to address the issues and recently apologized for the launch mishaps, acknowledging on Discord that they made “so many big mistakes in the beginning.”

Interestingly, the game still isn’t available on Steam two weeks later despite Jandisoft’s earlier promises that the Steam version will be launching alongside the global release. The team apparently misjudged Steam’s inspection timeline causing a delay in Mad World’s release on the platform.

In a way, the delay might even be a blessing in disguise as it not only prevents Steam s from giving negative reviews but also gives the developers more time to fix the game before it becomes available on a wider platform. Jandisoft promises to share more information as soon as they’re able.

But it's not all doom and gloom. Despite these issues, there's still something for players to enjoy with the release of Act 5 last week. The new chapter opens up several brand-new zones, including Broken Shore, Gazer’s Crossroads, and the infamous Evergreen Forest.

“If you step your foot in that forest... You will die! And if you manage to come back alive... You will eventually end your own life!” warns the devs.

With new content to explore, we can probably overlook the Steam delay for the time being. Seeing as the game is already in the approval process though, we might be seeing it launch on the platform sooner rather than later.
