Lost Ark Celebrates Third Anniversary with Free Skins, Event Island, and Player Stats Recap
Amazon Games has launched Lost Ark’s third-anniversary celebration, offering free cosmetic bundles, a limited-time event island, and a retrospective on player achievements over the past year. The festivities begin on February 5 and include:
What’s in the Anniversary Update?
- Festa of Arkesia Event Island
- Accessible via quests in major cities (Luterra Castle, Vern Castle, etc.), the island features festive mini-quests, a token shop, and a revamped Balthorr raid with new mechanics.
- Earn event tokens to exchange for collectibles and upgrade materials.
- Free Player Gifts (Delivered February 5)
- Gift 1: 3rd Anniversary Skin + Weapon Chests, Abyss Wallpaper.
- Gift 2: 100 Pheons ( currency), 20 Battle Item Chests, 20x Destiny Stones, 10 Legendary Elixirs, and armor/weapon upgrade tickets.
The anniversary event follows January’s Echidna Legion Raid and ongoing bot-countermeasures, which saw millions of banned s in 2024. Despite this, bots remain an ongoing issue.
Anniversary events are a staple for MMOs, but Lost Ark’s generous loot (100 Pheons is about $20 value) and nostalgia-driven stats recap aim to appease veterans fatigued by repetitive grind cycles.
While Lost Ark's playerbase has declined significantly since launch, the game's population has seemingly stabilized and began increasing since bottoming in November 2024. The game currently averages ~24,000 concurrent players on Steam.
