Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.3 "Celestial Eyes Above Mortal Ruin" Launching on August 30
The latest update for Honkai: Star Rail, version 1.3 "Celestial Eyes Above Mortal Ruin", is launching on August 30. With it comes a brand new area called Aurum Alley, a major update to the Simulated Universe, as well as several new characters. The game's Trailblaze Power limit, which serves as a level cap, is also increasing.
The new characters are a 5 star version of Dan Heng and Imbibitor Lunae which are both imaginary type characters on the Destruction path. The third new character is Fu Xuan, which is a quantum type character on the path of preservation. There's a fourth new character as well, but they're only a 4 star: Lynx.
Honkai: Star Rail is currently cross play compatible between PC, Epic Games Store, iOS, and Android. A PlayStation 5 version is launching in Q4 of 2023 which will also offer cross play compatability.
I've personally played Honkai: Star Rail quite a bit and while it's a fun game, it's largely singleplayer. Genshin Impact, which is made by the same developers, has more multiplayer components than Honkai. Still, those looking for a top notch JRPG like experience should give this one a try. It offers great production value along with a fun story.
