Hearthstone Unveils Titans Expansion Featuring A New Card Type And Keyword
Blizzard is set to make a titanic splash in Hearthstone with the release of its Titans expansion. The hallmark feature of the expansion is the addition of the new Titan card type that will be available to all classes in the multiplayer CCG.
These Titan cards will allow players to trigger three different single-use abilities throughout the match. These abilities range from adding one mana cost to your opponent’s cards to restoring a hero back to full health. Once all three abilities are used, the Titan card will attack just as normal cards would.
The expansion will also introduce powerful keeper minions that feature a fraction of a Titan’s power. These minions possess impressive abilities, including raising cards from the graveyard. In addition to the new minion cards, the Forge keyword will also be added to specific class cards which will allow players to permanently upgrade the said cards for two mana. The Magnetic keyword will also be returning allowing players to once again link minions to played mech cards.
Titans is set to go live on August 1st and is now available for pre-order on the official site. The latest patch sets the stage for the expansion, offering a free Prison of Yogg-Saron card for players who . The patch also introduces the beta season of the new Twist game mode, updates to hero powers and armor cards, and new minions, as well as various minion adjustments.
The team has also brought back the Fire Festival event and kicked off a new Twist-specific special event. They’ll also be giving out Twitch drops on July 1st with up to 11 card packs up for grabs including a Titans pack.
