Hearthstone Previews Next Week’s Music-Themed Festival Of Legends Expansion
Hearthstone is marking the start of the Year of the Wolf with the launch of its Festival of Legends expansion next week. The expansion will introduce 145 new music-themed cards featuring legendary songs and musicians, instrument weapons, soloists, harmonic spells, and the new “Finale” keyword.
Festival of Legends will also come with a new reward track with a fresh set of cosmetics, cards, and card packs to unlock in addition to XP boosts and a boatload of gold. The expansion is scheduled for release on April 11th and is now available for pre-purchase as part of two bundles: the standard pre-purchase bundle ($49.99) and the mega bundle ($79.99).
Blizzard will be celebrating the expansion’s launch with a special event that will run from April 18th to May 2nd. During the event, players will be able to complete quests to earn various rewards including a Festival of Legends card pack, signature cards, and a signature pack.
The expansion’s launch will mark the start of the Year of the Wolf which will introduce a new standard card rotation comprised of Festival of Legends, Path of Arthas, March of the Lich King, Murder at Castle Nathria, and Voyage to the Sunken City. Over 70 cards will also be swapped out of the free core set for new ones.
