H1Z1: King Of The Kill's Latest Update Improves Combat, Simplifies Inventory

With PLAYERUNKNOWN's Battlegrounds dominating the battle royale genre, previous reigning champion H1Z1: King of the Kill is going to have to improve significantly in order to compete in the long run. Players of Daybreak's battle royale game have long felt that there are a number of issues with the game, some of which may have been fixed in today's update.

Here are the key additions and changes that are included in today's update.

  • Hit registration has been improved.
  • Players can now fire their weapons "regardless of proximity to an object."
  • The shotgun has seen a revamp, making it "connect more consistently with targets."
  • The inventory screen and crafting system have been simplified to improve usability.
  • The crate screen has been streamlined, allowing players to "view all of their crates in one place."
  • Skirmishes have been reimplemented. These are "weekend matches with rotating rule sets." The first rule set to be used is "Shotties & Snipers," which only allows players to use shotguns and hunting rifles.
