Fractured Fall Alpha Tests Kick Off In November Featuring New Systems And Content
Over the past few weeks, Fractured developer Dynamight Studios has introduced a ton of new features into the game in preparation for the start of Fall Alpha tests next month. The Alpha build will include new systems and content such as mining, blacksmithing, City Trading Posts, and city claiming.
Mining will allow players to harvest resources like iron, copper, silver, and gold while Blacksmithing will allow players to craft those resources into useful items. Mining and Blacksmithing in Fractured, however, isn’t exactly as straightforward or as simple as your typical MMORPG and will require the effort of several players.
Unlike most MMORPGs where you can just whip out your pickaxe and start mining, mining resource nodes in Fractured will require the permission of the governor ruling over the city that the node is tied to. Transporting the resources will also require a horse-drawn cart as opposed to unrealistically stuffing them in your backpack. On top of that, smelting resources for use in blacksmithing will also require charcoal which in turn need to be harvested from piles of gathered wood.
City Trading Posts will also be part of the Fall Alpha build. Trading posts allow cities to exchange and transport heavy resources with the help of player-owned carts and caravans. Trolls, Troll Encampments, and three new Undead enemy types will also be making it to the Fall Alpha build which should add more variety to your monster-hunting escapades.
The above-mentioned content and more will be rolling out with the start of Fall Alpha tests on November 4th. You can check out a preview of the content in the Dev Update videos below. You can also head over to the Fractured official site for more info.
