Final Fantasy 11 Welcomes Back Old & New Players In May
Square Enix is holding a series of events starting this May to make its first subscription MMORPG, Final Fantasy 11, more accessible than ever. The events are aimed at both returning veterans and new players who never got a chance to try the console/PC MMORPG first released back in 2002.
A Discount Campaign kicks off on May 16 and runs until May 31 during which time prospective players can purchase the Ultimate Collection Seekers Edition for $9.99. This version grants access to the full game plus all expansions to date. Previous players who already own the base can pay just $4.99 for the Seekers of Adoulin expansion pack to bring them up to date. World transfers are also discounted, from their usual $18.00 down to $9.00.
Running nearly concurrently with the Discount Campaign is the Return Home to Vana'diel Campaign (May 16-28) during which former subscribers can play the game for free, no subscription needed! Characters whose status is set to "Cancelled" prior to May 13 will be eligible for the free period. The campaign celebrates FF11's 16th anniversary and all players will enjoy double experience, complimentary items each week, the return of alter egos, and much more during the course of the event.
We here at mmos.betsandodds.net tried Final Fantasy 11 last week for Grindfest Friday on our twitch channel. While the game is certainly old, the servers are still quite active. New and returning players alike shouldn't have difficulty progressing through the game, though its recommend to follow a guide when installing and setting up an . That process proved more frustrating and time consuming than the tutorial quest line and the first few levels of the game!
