EverQuest 2 Sends Players Off To The Plane Of Sky In Its 20th Expansion ‘Ballads Of Zimara’

EverQuest 2 rolled out Ballads of Zimara today, the 19-year-old fantasy MMORPG’s 20th expansion. The expansion sends players soaring to the Plane of Sky where they’ll take on a powerful Djinn and his ruthless army to rescue the Alcazar of Zimara.

“Calamitous impacts upon Norrath were but an overture to the songs of strife and oppression ringing out from the Plane of Sky. Norrathians, venture to the firmament lands in hopes of wresting lasting peace from a despotic foe, the Djinn Sovereign, and his growing army of metallic djinn!”

The expansion opened up several new zones within the Plane of Sky as well as new solo, heroic, and raid dungeons including the Aether Wroughtlands. The adventure and tradeskill level caps have also been increased to 130 and players will now be able to expand their arsenal “interactively” with the addition of the advanced research system. Additionally, players will also be able to revisit their favorite encounters from the past in the new Chrono Dungeons.

Ballads of Zimara is available for purchase on the EverQuest 2 official site, starting at $34.99 for the Standard Edition and going all the way up to $139.99 for the Edition and $249.99 for the Family & Friends bundle which includes extra copies of the expansion.
