EVE Online Is Now Accepting Applications For Its Excel Integration Beta Test

It’s no secret that using spreadsheets is the key to maximizing your productivity in EVE Online, assuming of course, that you know how to code. To maximize your efficiency even further, C Games has teamed up with Microsoft to integrate Excel into the space sci-fi MMORPG and it won’t require coding knowledge to use.

The studio will soon be kicking off testing for the new feature and are now accepting s for the closed beta test. According to C, Excel integration should help even the playing field in “data-driven warfare” and give players equal access to gathered intel. “EVE has been referred to as spreadsheets in space, and there will soon be even better opportunities to excel at the game (see what we did there?),” said the studio.

Excel integration will allow players to analyze data which can range from something as generic as general New Eden information or something to more specific data such as wallet balances, asset information, or market orders.

C Games says that it’s looking for testers with a variety of experiences and playstyles and is requiring players to fill out a survey for a chance to be invited to the playtest. The studio has yet to announce a schedule for the beta test or the feature itself, but if it’s now looking for testers, it shouldn’t be that long of a wait.
