Elite Dangerous Console Transfers Will Go Live Later Today
Elite Dangerous console players will finally get to transfer their s to the PC version (assuming that they want to make the switch) starting later today. Frontier Developments revealed the welcome news in their latest Discovery Scanner newsletter and promises to reveal more information on the Console Copy Process prior to the portal’s opening.
As previously announced, players will get to transfer their s including all of their ships and weapons to the PC version of space sci-fi MMORPG as well as their character names if they’re available. Players will also presumably get to take with them any cosmetics that they purchased although any unspent ARX credits will remain on the console along with fleet carriers, NPC crew names, friends lists, and squadrons.
Meanwhile, the 4.0 codebase merge that Frontier has been working on for the past few months is still on track for release later this week. More information about the merge and the maintenance downtime will be announced soon.
“Lots going on this week so do standby for further information as we move, across our Forums, official news website and social channels,” the studio said.
