Destiny 2: Lightfall Opens The Root Of Nightmares Raid, Reports World First Clear
Destiny 2: Lightfall’s accompanying raid, The Root of Nightmares, officially opened its doors earlier today sending players scrambling to be the first to defeat the final boss Nezarec. Team Hard in the Paint (HITP) managed to snag the World First achievement for the new raid just two and a half hours after it officially opened its doors.
The group cleared the raid in 2 hours and 24 minutes with the next fastest clear coming in at 2 hours and 33 minutes. The raid is currently in Contest Mode with a Power cap of 1780 and Exotic Weapon restrictions. While new raids typically remain in Contest Mode for 24 hours to level the playing field for the World First race, Bungie has decided to extend it to a total of 48 hours for Root of Nightmares.
All players who clear Root of Nightmares while it’s still in Contest Mode will earn an exclusive emblem. Additionally, those who complete it before March 21st will given the opportunity to purchase Root of Nightmares merch in the form of a $150 raid jacket.
