Boss Key Co-Founder Cliff Bleszinski Plans To Revive Flopped Shooter LawBreakers

Now-defunct Boss Key Productions co-founder and Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski is apparently looking to revive sunsetted back in 2018 after just over a year in operation.

The last time the flopped first-person shooter caught the community’s eye was back in 2020 when Bleszinski claimed that the reason the game failed was because it was “too woke.

Surprisingly, Bleszinski seems to have just discovered that Nexon actually owns the rights to the game he's hoping to revive and has invited the studio’s CEO to talk about a possible resurrection. He isn’t planning to do any of the heavy lifting though and just wants to assume a consulting role while someone else does all the work. Hey, we all have our strengths, right?

All jokes aside, negotiations like these are pretty standard. Bleszinki’s iconic statement that the gaming press can “f*ck off” in response to articles about the game’s poor reception might not work in his favor.
