Age Of Heroes VR Heads To Kickstarter With $10,000 Funding Goal

OmniGames has Age of Heroes VR. The game takes inspiration for MMOs, offering epic multiplayer battles in a VR setting, but eschewing all other elements of the genre. It does, however, boast "team focused combat, multiple classes, and [an] actual body movement system."

OmniGames has noted that it actually has the funding it needs to complete Age of Heroes VR. The extra $10,000 in funding that it is looking to raise via Kickstarter is intended to be spent on more content, expanding on the current approximate 90 minutes of content. Stretch goals are also in place, including a $40,000 stretch goal that will introduce a "tavern system" that allows players to hang out in a tavern and play various minigames.

An OmniGames representative had the following to say about the announcement.

We have the private resources that will allow us to deliver the core product. Actually, we expect to release the early access of the game this May. Then why Kickstarter? The answer is actually very simple. We want to make it even better with more raids, more classes and more game modes. And only with your voice and could make this happen. Kickstarter builds the bridge to connect us directly to you, our most valuable players.

Those who are interested can pledge to the Kickstarter campaign here. The first 50 backers to pledge at the "Hero Pack (Early Bird)" tier can get a copy of the game for $20, whereas it will cost approximately $29.90 at launch, as well as early access to the Public Test Realm. Once those 50 Early Bird Hero Packs are gone, the lowest pledge tier that includes the game will be the $25 "Hero Pack (Late Bird)" tier.
