Activision Blizzard Reports Record Q1 Revenue $703M

Activision Blizzard reported a record ~$703 million in revenue, partly due to ongoing success of World of Warcraft continued to perform exceptionally well too with 7.1 million active subscribers at the end of the quarter. This number spiked to 10 million with the Warlords of Draenor expansion, but with the initial launch excitement wearing off, subscriptions came down.

$538M of that $703M came from digital sales from Battle.net, meaning the company is less and less reliant on physical game sales. Hearthstone is already one of the highest grossing apps on both iOS and Android. The company launched its mobile version of Hearthstone earlier this year. Digital sales are expected to grow in 2015 with the launch of Overwatch later in the fall.
