The Weekly Raid: What's Your Favorite In-Game Event?
Tis the season when every MMO runs a similar event: goofy skins, ghosts, and rhyming posts. It's Halloween, my favorite time of year for in-game events. I'm all about cobwebs and spiders and wearing bedsheets which is why I stopped cleaning my apartment on October 1st.
But there's more to in-game events then just Halloween. And on this special Tuesday we ought to reflect on some memorable in-game events (and they don't have to be organized events).
Some of my favorite memories include:
- That time a Ragnarok Online server spawned every baddie in the center of Prontera, wiping out countless AFK shops.
- That time the Horde banded together and raided Ironforge, killing everyone before the Alliance had a chance to organize.
- That time players murdered Lord British in Shroud of the Avatar too).
But these are just a few of my favorite in-game event memories. What stories can you tell?
